Im a big sports fan, I play and watch sports religiously, and one of my favourite sports is Cricket. Although Cricket has a long history and is played all around the world, it is really restricted to a handful of cricketing nations. A lot of people around the world simply don’t ‘get’ it, probably in the same way as I don’t ‘get’ American Football. The fact that test cricket is played over 5 days simply confuses people even more.
Anyway, rant aside, one of the best Flash games I’ve played is Stick Cricket, which is in my opinion a tremendously fun and quite realistic Cricket batting simulation. To play simply press a keyboard arrow key to play a shot, for example, a pull shot would be the ‘left’ arrow key, while a straight drive would be the ‘up’ arrow key. In the game you play as the English limited overs Cricket team (sucks I know) and have 10 overs to overhaul your oppositions run total.
You start off versing crappy (I mean lowly) nations like Canada and Holland and eventually move up to the top sides like South Africa and Australia, chasing bigger and bigger scores. After every match you win, you get a password that will save your progress and you can return to that level match after you stop playing. You can try out Stick Cricket here.
I also know people that have played this before and couldn’t remember the passwords, so here it is below. For those that want to cheat, you can do that too…
- Canada – no code required
- Holland – “martyn”
- Namibia – “pangio”
- Bangladesh – “batty”
- Kenya – “sheridan”
- Zimbabwe – “ollie”
- West Indies – “lard”
- India – “kingbilly”
- Pakistan – “weegordon”
- New Zealand – “sniffer”
- Sri Lanka – “meggiemoo”
- South Africa – “tilly”
- Australia – “bennyboy”
Oh and here’s a bunch of passwords that will allow you to play alternative training modes:
- 10 over slog for leaderboard – “panda”
- 20 over slog – “twenty”
- 50 over slog – “fifty”
- Spin bowling – “spin”
- Slow bowling – “slow”
- Fast bowling – “bouncers”
- Hard bowling – “hard”
- Random bowling – “random”
Here’s a quick tip: watch out for those short balls, they can knock your head off, literally.
